Remove the worm by tapping it toward the cap end. 5. Press the bearings to get rid of them through the shafts. Note the position of the bearings so as to rebuild the worm gear accordingly. Exclude the bearing races from your housing and cover using a soft metal drift. 6. Inspect each of the parts, wipe clean and reassemble.
