1. Remove the outer bracket, motor and coupling of this worm gear. Utilize screwdriver to unscrew the outer housing.
2. Unscrew the bearing cap and remove the duvet and base.
3. Get rid of the shaft and gear assembly through the housing. Apply a modest amount of pressure towards the shaft extension and separate the apparatus from the worm.
4. Twist and pull to take out the bearing cap, cap plugs and outer retaining ring. Remove
the worm by tapping it toward the cap end.
5. Press the bearings to get rid of them through the shafts. Note the position of the bearings so as to rebuild the worm gear accordingly. Exclude the bearing races from your housing and cover using a soft metal drift.
6. Inspect each of the parts, wipe clean and reassemble.
