The reducers incorporate O-ring seals on input and output covers and on the face of the input motor flange for moisture sealing. Food-grade synthetic lubricant, shaft seals for resistance to common wash-down chemicals, and optional electro polished and hand-polished exterior finishes are among the other features.
Five mounting faces with tapped holes are provided for mounting on the reducer. To accommodate all external forces, it is advisable to mount on the largest contact face, on one of the two cover sides. It should be mounted so that the input shaft is vertical or under the output shaft, this mounting is ideal for lubrication.
Worm reducers are ideally suited for speed control and intermittent cyclical applications. They are also appropriate for highly dynamic stop or start. They are also used in material handling axis, vertical axis drives, hollow-bore drives, and electronic line shafting. They are perfect for applications where economical precision is required. Many worm reducers are used in food and beverage industry.
